Looking for a relaxed and enjoyable day out in great company? Join us on a 7-mile private walking tour of Hadrian’s Wall. Designed to offer a memorable experience, each tour is tailored to your pace and interests. Whether you’re into Roman history, Border Reivers, nature, geology or simply love exploring the outdoors, this tour is crafted to be engaging and fun. You’ll pass iconic Roman sites like Vindolanda, Chesterholme Roman milestone, Housesteads, and Sycamore Gap, with breathtaking views and local wildlife along the way. As local guides, we bring a wealth of knowledge and a friendly approach, ensuring the tour is not only informative but also inclusive and fun. Our circular tour lasts about 4 hours, with a comfort break at Housesteads (nice portaloos, benches with views, and a museum shop with drinks and snacks). We offer a lower route option to accommodate different fitness levels, so whether you're 18 or 80, you’ll feel at ease and enjoy the experience. We'll capture the special moments with photos, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the spectacular Northumberland countryside. You’ll finish the tour with the rare chance to hold a genuine Roman artefact, bringing history to life, and receive a bespoke memento of your day.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy Once your booking’s confirmed, you’ll get an email with all the details. If you need to cancel or reschedule, you can do so online up to 1 day before your tour. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour do not get a refund. For groups of 6 or more, cancellations less than 7 days before the tour, aren’t eligible for a refund. Need to reschedule? No problem—you can do that once, as long as it’s within the timeframes above (24 hours for small groups, 7 days for larger ones). If we ever need to cancel a tour (which is rare), we’ll offer you either a full refund or the chance to reschedule—whichever you prefer. We head out in the rain, so come dressed for the weather. If conditions are genuinely unsafe, we’ll be in touch with options. No-shows can’t be refunded or rescheduled, so please make sure you arrive on time. If your group has more than 5 people, or you need any particular accommodations, let us know in advance—we’ll do what we can to help.
