Dusk Walk, Supper & Stargazing

Meet at the Twice Brewed Inn 5:15 pm (at the Tap Room) for a guided dusk walk along Hadrian’s Wall. We’ll head to the highest point on the central stretch of the Wall where, if the skies are kind, we may glimpse Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, and the waning crescent moon. Along the way, enjoy stories of the landscape before pausing with a steaming hot chocolate under some of England’s darkest skies.

Afterwards, tuck into a hearty supper at the Twice Brewed Inn before joining the expert team from Kielder Observatory (8:30–10:30pm). Step into the cosmos as they unravel mysteries from black holes to dark matter, and take a journey through time to the stars Hadrian saw in AD 122. If clouds roll in, their planetarium offers an unforgettable alternative.

Practicalities

• Head or chest torches required. We can provide one to borrow.

• Walking poles available to borrow

• Warm layers and sturdy footwear with good grip essential (uneven, grassy terrain)
